PRODUCTS
We work with earthenware clay, which we fire to 1180°C for a glaze firing and 1070°C for Terracotta firing. This leaves our pots strong,and especially our garden pots, fit for this climate. The glazes we use are the original recipe created by Stephen Humm and only known to this Pottery. They are a stunning blue, cream and green glaze. Trevor keeps saying, if its round and we like it, we’ll make it.
In our Garden Range we make small 4 ½” to 16” standard shape flowerpots with saucers, different sized herb pots, Barrels, Rhubarb forcers, pans and many more designs. They can be left terracotta or glazed, as you desire. Our glazed pots are frost resistant. There are many items we have not jet put on the website, give us a call or visit us and see for yourself. Our domestic range, which is dishwasher and microwave proof and can be gently warmed in the oven, can decorate the whole house:
Don’t forget the tiling in the kitchen bathroom and behind the fireplace. Our tiles are 10cm² and can be glazed in the three different colours or left terracotta, to be finished with oil and wax. Other sizes can be made as a special order. Commemorative items: We have made mugs, cups, goblets, platters, house plaques and many other items, either engraved or adorned with little plaques with your individual inscription.
